Default Turn IndexU into Product Directory

Has anyone configured indexu into a product directory with links that lead to affiliate purchases? Not PPC but a more detailed description and images for each item in the directory.

Could you elaborate Dody on how to do this? I would like to turn INDEXU into a product listing.

A lot of things to do
Import all products by hand as they are links and you have the product site.
But don't forget what will happen with "links / products" if you update them and they are gone.

    Mythotical -

I don't think they understood you completely. I am looking for a product version as well. I would like to upload a database feed from my merchants and have it populate the site on a weekly basis. Have you discovered any easy way to do this (or has anyone else?)

    Thanks!

    Forget this with indexu
I was fighting for a way a long time agao, but after all it was much easier to a new script only for this.

    How ?
He wants to upload complete datafeeds from different internet shops instead of a link directory.
    Forget it..
My own solution (not indexu - hand made) has ~ 450000 products (database > 500 MB) in it and it is fighting hard. Never indexu will handle a database like that in a good time and never without an own good server.

I don't know xcart, but standart oscommerce isn't enought flexibel and so slow for that - I tested it and it was wasted time
os is a good shop system, but if you only forward visitors as affiliate without own shopping cart it is to big for it.
If you can do bigger changes in os you are also able to write your own script...

    Hey Dody -

Yeah, I guess I was getting ahead of myself with indexu. I saw a product catalog on GearShopping.com and thought that was thru indexu. Maybe it is, but I can't figure out how to upload correctly.... No worries though.

that is indexU, looks like he just added them all manually. No changes from the basic version of indexU really.
Main IndexU sites : | Campsite Directory | Tourist Guide | Places2B | AfterDirectory <-- Half price submission using coupon DP50 (from just $11 premium, and $10 basic permanent )

It is indexu, I think he simple upload the products manuell instead of websites links.
In my opinion he will get big problems if he should update all or some products but may be he found a way to do that automatic.
But as i wrote it will be limited to a number of products.

By the way: thats a solution I run and sold now on ebay: http://www. mode25.de
