    Default my suggestion

Hello, most of the posts on this forum are old.. dated back in 2003.. it pretty much looks like indexu is dieing down.. I also heard version 4 is suppose to come out in dec 03, well, it's 4 months past..

even the news on the site hasn't even been updated this year..

    my suggestion:
indexu should cost only 40 dollars or so.. because

    1) it's not being developed anymore
    2) it's not worth 100 to me if there isn't any progress..

so.. are there any other directory scripts like this that I can look buy? I was for sure I was going to buy this.. but right now.. my hopes are low..

I still think INDEXU is a pretty complete package right out of the box. It has most of the features that you will need and is relatively bug free ( I think we have IDed all of the small ones and have only found a couple of big ones ).

I have not looked at other links/sql programs but INDEXU code is extremely well laid out and that makes MODs very easy to do. and while you will have to clean up the html files, they are easy to work with. INDEXU does an excellent job of separating the html from the php.

but if you find something you like, let us know.
