a simple free counter will do the same.
I think this is not very important, becuase some one like counters, some one won't it, for some one webalizer is enough and I use my logfiles if I want see more details...

I doubt that INDEXU will ever have a stats program like webalizer. Personally, if webalizer provides you with the stats you like, then use it.

While I am a numbers guy ( read accountant ), I have never gotten into the details of the numbers except as a general thing or ocassionally a few details here and there

I do use http://extremetracking.com/ and with my website stats that is enough for me.

I'm not sure that I would clutter up INDEXU with a lot of stats. I say use the 3rd party prodcuts that are available. But I realize everyone is different.
