Default Mod for Checking ALL linkbacks

I have posted a MOD at my site http://www.indexuhelp.com to check each site that has listed with your INDEXU site for a reciprocal linkback.

Depending on your connection speed it will check 1,000 sites in less than 5 minutes.

For each site it will tell you one of the following four things:

it found the reciprocal linkback ( and what the actual linkback looked like )
it found the page it was suppose to be on but did not find the linkback
it could not find the page itself at the site
the reciprocal link field in the idx_link table is blank
the mod requires a field be added to the idx_link table. the field should contain the URL to the reiciprocal linkback. It can be blank.

It is run from the admin control panel. I may add more features to the mod as time goes on.

I do not have a demo of this MOD. but it does work...

I may create a version that spiders the site or at least part of the site ( creating a recursive function is not my idea of fun ).

Default Great !

Great !

Thas the most important hack for me !
I want a backlink from every one who adds his link and and the moment I check them with a stand alone software.

And I have a field with backlinks in my table !
Can I use the field I have and is it possible to check only some links ?

In my case, I added a new field for information "backlink required or not".
If I add the link through adim I set a 0 and if users add their sites I set the field on 1.
So it is only necessary to check all links with the field info "1" that should save time and ressoures.

yep, it only looks at a specific url page

is it possible to check only some links ?
that is not so easy to implement. with a couple hundred links, it could be done but thousands of links would be a different story.

You could add a field that would indicate if the link was found last time, and skip it this time.

Thumbs up !

Sounds good.
I think this is a good feature for all users, because all users needs inlinks and it is easy to ask directly in submission for a backlink

If you do the hack (after Link of moment ), I can test it directly.
As I wrote I have a text-field for the url of the backlink and a field for the type of link: 0 = admin , 1 = backlink -> these links should be tested.
