Default integrating indexu search with phpadsnew keywords

I'm melting my (few) remaining brain cells thinking about a way to integrate indexu search with phpAds New.

The idea is simple, I've set my banners to be displayed by keyword so if I search for "photography", my search results page should display any banner containing that keyword.

Any idea on how to do it, if possible? Mark?

    Thanks! =)

    Hi Rbl,

As far as I am aware, it is not possible to import the induexu keyword as the banner search variable, not without extensive hacking, which having not yet got to grips with PHP is beyond me at this stage.

I find the easiest way is setting all your zones, so if you have a category in indexU called photography, create a zone in PHPAds New called photography, within that zone call banners using the most specific keywords ie:-

photography camera cameras digitalcameras tripod tripods cameracases memorysticks lightmeters cameralenses zoomlenses fisheyelenses

    and so on,

When allocating banners in PHPAds new assign all keywords applicable to that banner, so you may have some banners which only relate to cameras (therefore only allocate banner keywords to camera cameras digitalcameras), and others relate to all keywords (therefore using all your keywords as defined in your zone keywords)

I have already done that. I was hoping to integrate the search results because the keyword is not ofuscated, you can see it in the url.

    Thanks anyway! =)

    Default Found it =)

Well... I've found a way that's actually very easy but a bit annoying top set up, there must be an easy way, I'll keep looking.

Here's how to do it (if you are working with zones):
1 - go to Advertisers & Campaigns > Campaign overview > Banner overview > Delivery options
2 - add a Delivery limitation by Referring page
3 - and choose to display banner only when the referring page contains your desired keyword
    4 - save =)

The biggest drawback of this method is that:
    a) you need to duplicate your banner(s) to have a regular version and a search result version (with the limitations)
    b) if you need to set ten different keywords, you need to repeat ten times steps 2 to 4

So anyway.. it's a solution, I remember to share it, maybe someone will need it.
