We had originally had Indexu 2.0 and upgraded to 3.0 only to find out that it had more quirks and dislikes than 2.0 did so we reinstalled 2.0 (after having to completely drop all tables and rebuild from scratch).
After a few hours of playing with the code a little, we managed to get all category links to point to CategoryName/index.html ... we also managed to get all links to the next pages of the category (pg_which=2,3,4, etc) to point to index2.html and so on (works in reverse too)...
We also managed to get urls changed from "go.php?id=432" to actually show the url when moused over/clicked on. Being that as it may, it probably won't keep track of number of outclicks spiders will crawl and pick up static urls better than ?query_string ones... So, its a trade-off... count clicks, or get spidered...
Anyway, its all kinda hard to explain, and I am worlds worst at explaining things step-by-step , but if you are interested in this hack, drop me an email at sham@shamdoodie.com. Like I said, I got it working on ver 2.0, but im fairly sure it would work on 3.0 or whatever as well.
All the best to everyone...
