under category listings for example :
Under XXX category it shows only 5 links and does pagination so it goes to page 2.
Is there a way to increase this ?

In 3.1 go to the Administrator Control Panel and click on the Setup option in the Application section on the left side ( toward the bottom ).
In the right hand frame, there should be a pagination section. You should see a line for Max Rows - Maximum links in a page. That should be 5 on your screen. Change it to 10
Well, that looks like that the place where it should be changed!Let us know if it does!

I should note that once you login, the number of links are controlled by clicking on the "My Account" hyperlink and selecting the Preference option. There you will see a line for "Number of links in location page"
