Default Sorting Bug?? Maybe

Im not sure, but i added a custom field called timestamp, and made it admin only and not searchable etc, but its showing up in the sort feild? is this a bug maybe?

Also, could Timestamp be added to the list of variables, currently its got date and datetime, but it would really handy to have timestamp as an option. Just for advanced use of the mysql database features.

Cheers

Thank you. It's a bug. We're working on it now.

We do not fix it. Because 'timestamp' is reserve work from mysql. Please use the other field name

Yes, but even if you make a custom field NOT searchable, and ADMIN only, it still appears in the SORTING field in browse....

It doesnt matter what the NAME is .....

Hope this clears it up

I forgot that it's not a real bug. The sort listing block will show all custom fields. In order to make it invisible, you should use 'exclude' parameter. See here for detail.

Awesome, works great dody,

Can you also exlude other feilds, such as say Votes? or do you have to go into the block code and do that?

Currently you should hack the code.
