Custom Field Input Lost!

I have add a custom field to my link directory and i had set the permission rights to "Admin only". I have put some internal text info for the admin to these field.

The Linkowner can not see this field in the edit mode. That´s right. But if the Link Owner had made some changes at his entry and has stored the changes my custom field was cleared!

This Problem is only if the permission of the custom field ist set to "Admin only"!!

Probably because the field is being submitted by the form as "blank" so it empties the field in the database.

When they edit the listing, does the field appear in the text but is hidden to the browser?

You may not set it with admin only. The field then will be appear in add url and modify form. After this, you just need to make the field not displayed in add url form. You should do this manually in add_form.html and modify_form.html.
