custom field information being lost on edit

runnign latest version from development server:

edit a custom field fromt he admin panel and all the information is lost regarding hte type etc, This happened on select field i was editing, any changes i make dont get saved, all information dissapears. I had to re-enter it in phpmyadmin.

i go to links > custom field

Iclick the change button on one of my custom fields. the ones i have tried this on have been select boxes. I added an option to the box, clicked save, and all the information for that cutom field dissapeared. I looked in phpmyadmin, and all the field values are removed. I have tried this 3 times.

I still can't reproduce the problem.

Admin panel > link > custom field > Add New custom field:
I added its name: os, type: select, option: windows xp, linux, macos

Then i back to Admin panel > link > custom field > Change.
I added new option: bsd

Click change. And then check it again Admin panel > link > custom field > Change. The values are correct.
