    Default Stop Spammers ??

    Loser Spammer keeps adding tickets.

Seems some turd out there does not have much of a life, and spams the iDesk help section. Queer as they come if you ask me.

So how do you stop this gayness??

Are they tickets, or are they tickets generated from emails?

How can you tell? When you open the ticket, near the top you can see something like "Generated from email" beside Last post status

If it's email, then the easiest thing to do is block them via your mail server by either full address or by domain. You can also block email addresses in iDesk by going to admin/general_setting.php

If it's actual tickets then it's a different beast. You would probably just ban the user via the admin panel (admin/general_setting.php) or via .htaccess

Require the user to login before submitting a ticket.

And if you haven't done so, upgrade to 1.6.4. I can't remember which version implimented captcha but 1.6.4 is the latest version.

The nice thing about iDesk is that users aren't required to sign up to submit a ticket.

The captcha will help, and of course banning will help as well. It looks like you're just getting hit by a spam bot.

Happy to say the update worked well and that pesky spammer is gone.

I like the new back end, clean and quick loading.

Great scripts, both iDesk and Indexu. Keep up the great work guys and thanks.
