iDesk now OpenSource GPL License

I just noticed on NiceCoder's website that iDesk is now Open Source GPL License. Can a member of the staff go into detail a little more of what this means?

I'm assuming it means that we no longer need to pay to use the product. But is there still a yearly fee for updates and support?

If someone can spell out exactly how the new licensing is working with iDesk, it would greatly be appreciated

We have changed the licenses of iDesk to GPL (open sources). Everybody can get iDesk for free. There is no more yearly fee for updates and support. The support will be limited. There are also some other nicecoder's products that go open sources.
