Default Importing categories from Dmoz Extractor into 5.3

    Hello,

My categories file looks like this:

    5807808 Commercial_Services Top/PHP/Commercial_Services
    169011 Documentation_and_FAQs Top/PHP/Documentation_and_FAQs
    372591 Personal_Pages Top/PHP/Personal_Pages
    575626 Resources Top/PHP/Resources
    5888264 Chats_and_Forums Top/PHP/Resources/Chats_and_Forums
    575627 Directories Top/PHP/Resources/Directories
    518841 Scripts Top/PHP/Scripts

And I already have a category named PHP created. When I attempt to import the categories, I select: category, dmoz and the txt file above. I always seem to get these types of errors:

    ERROR: Parent not found (Documentation_and_FAQs)
    ERROR: Parent not found (Personal_Pages)
    ERROR: Parent not found (Resources)
    ERROR: Parent not found (Scripts)
    ERROR: Parent not found (\"FAQs,_Help,_and_Tutorials\")
    ERROR: Parent not found (Tools)
    ERROR: Parent not found (Tutorials)
    ERROR: Parent not found (User_Groups)

No matter what I do or attempt. I then run the category path update and look at my categories and it never fails, only some of the categories get imported and those that are imported are never under the PHP category, They always try to be top level categories.

Any help? I'm getting a little concerned about this. I'm worried perhaps the dmoz extractor doesn't work that well or isn't really made for 5.3.

    Default dmoz tool is buggy

    Hello,
my information is, that there is still no updated version so you can forget the dmoz parser and import tool.
Last time we discussed it here it has big decoding problems in all special letters wordwide, because it won't get the UTF8 data decoded.

    Regards
    Frank
