    Default search engine stat

    Hi,

    What the SeStat, search engine stat actually does? Every time I check a listings stat I only see "0" for Yahoo and Google, only Alexa has got a number?

    Is that right, does it have to be 0?

    Cheers

    In theory, if a listing has backlinks at Google or Yahoo then the number of backlinks will appear there. The Alexa number is the Alexa ranking.

    Hi Bruce,

    Okay, here is an example;

    http://www.weddingsonly.com.au/detai...oductions.html

    www.iconfilmproductions.com

    Icon Film Productions has about seven backlinks but in the SeStats still showing Zero!?

    Regards

    The site uses http://www.iconfilmproductions.com which only has 4 results in Google. Remember that results will show differently for http://www.url http://url and www.url

    You'd have to get Dody to explain why there are no results as I'm not sure how that plugin is supposed to operate.

    It's a simple search engine stat. Like PR, but it show indexed pages in search engine (google and yahoo) and alexa rank. It's not linkback count.
    It save the result in database, table idx_se_stat. You may need to make this table empty,

    OR

    to force always refreshed from search engine by altering se_stat plugin file, line 95

    $time_space = (30*24*60*60);

    this number will set 30 days to recheck the value. To set daily:

    $time_space = (24*60*60);

    But the issue is that it is apparently not returning results for one (maybe more) links. Do you have any suggestions for that?

    It would seem we aren't getting alot of answers when it comes to the plugin system or the SE-Stats

    Dody,

    Any chance you or any of the other programmers could answer those unanswered questions on the forum, since no one else knows the answers???

    We wait for days but nothing happens!

    When ESM put up a poll on the board before asking whether a programmer should be assigned to the board, I didn't really understand why one would be needed?!?!?!

    Suddenly, it has become all too clear!
