Is a new version coming?

Well that's really what svn is all about. And you can kind of check it out there. I'll explain.

SVN allows a programmer to release a product, and then over time to release fixes which get recorded and saved. You can download the SVN version which includes all of these fixes, and it's essentially what a new version COULD be. Just remember that the SVN release is considered BETA and is NOT supported.

So saying that, typically when a number of bugs have been fixed the SVN release is released as a new "version". Technically it's the same version, but with bug fixes and maybe a few small additions.

So I hope that explains why I stated I'll wait for the next release as already there are a bunch of changes in the SVN version that are not in 5.4

On a personal note - I sure wouldn't mind seeing it being released right away as v5.5 and waiting another 6 months for the next version (6.0?) which could/would/might/may/hopefully include lotsa new stuff. Templates for 5.4 should still work perfectly with the SVN version right now so only small updates would need to be made to existing sites.

I've implemented some of the fixes in the SVN, and one of them was a new template for the Admin panel which of course I took for a spin. From the template, it would seem the next version is 6.0. The new fixed width template should be changed back to fluid width, but the general design and the colors is nice step forward
