Default My site needs a little fixing

Last week someone hacked into my site and changed my index.php to something that said virus. I deleted the index.php but I am unsure how to make the site how it originally was. the homepage pointed to mainsite/themes/default. None of my configured files in the default folder were changed. I just need someway so when someone types http://mainsite.com that it points to the index in the default folder, but the url needs to only say http://mainsite.com.
I also need some other configuration done if you are interested please email devitt23@hotpop.com
    thanks

Just make sure that you have the index.php file in your 'public_html' (or 'www') folder and it will point to http://mainsite.com

    Good luck,

    Default no index.php

I don't have the index.php file that goes in the main folder.. I do know nothing was touched in the themes/default folder. I just need a php file for the ../ folder
    thanks
