Most hosts won't help you set up scripts, however nicecoder offers free installation so when you get a host they can set it up for you.

Hostsnake doesn't allow .htaccess so mod_rewrite is useless, which means that users of IndexU can't use search engine friendly URL's.

    We cant currently enable:

sendmail for php for everyone (although we are working out a way to get this on request)
    fsockopen
    .htaccess
    and safemode

please do not request these, due to limitations of the software we cannot enable them
Limitations of the software? What software? PHP?

They also don't allow fsockopen so you can't use any scripts which use PHP to open connections such as the keymod mod script, backlink checking and spider link script.

They also don't allow sendmail which means that users cannot use IndexU 5.40 and must use the SVN version and enable SMTP.

All in all, a bad host unless you want static HTML pages. Nevermind that they state they give away 300GB of bandwidth monthly for "free". Theis plans page redirects you to a signup page. Are they afraid to show how much their paid plans cost?

If it's too good to be true, it's probably a webhosting scam
