This is something maybe a bit unusual...

Let's say I have a website where user can enter information about movies.

There are 5 fields:

Movie Title:
Year:
Length:
Age:
IMDB URL:

Now, if you don't know what imdb is go to http://www.imdb.com

As you can see it's a movie database. Now I'm wondering, would it be possible for user to enter imdb url, and then, movie title, year, length and age would be automaticly filled out based on the information on imdb.com?

So that when he enter the imdb url, a script go to the url, and find movie title, year etc ( since they are always placed on the same spot ), then fill out all the forms for user.

I need this done for my site, I will only need the movie title field and year field, and also I need to do the same from another site (not imdb.com) which I own myself, so I could use information directly from the database if it is better to do that, but I heard it's not safe to connect to a database on another server.

If someone know how to do this, please let me know. It will be paid work.

Otherwise any suggestions are appreciated.

Yes it could be done, but you'd have to write a script to do it. I would suggest going to scriptlance.com for something like this.
