Convert DB

Need help in converting the database from one script to IndexU 5.4x

Anyone interested ? I can pay 35USD (via paypal) for making that.

Have you tried using the script that the programmers made for doing DB conversions? Its posted on the blog

That script would do the trick, and it's free.

But some fields are binary (BLOB) - is thi spossible to use that script when some fields are binary ? Think it is not useful

IndexU doesn't use any blobs, nor does it support blobs. The point being that you wouldn't be able to import those no matter what

yes I know IU doesn't use BLOB's. But does your script uses BLOB's during conversion ?

edit: seems it works but I have been stopped on such problem:

TABLE katalog is filled with links (description, mets etc)
TABLE powiazania is filled with ID nad ID_POD which is connected with table "katalog"

second issue is that TABLE powiazania have a lot of duplicate rows (this is because one URL exists in 2 or more categories).

So it is not so easy to conver it as U can see.

in example:

ID | id_pod

3, 1
3,102
3,105
3,110

so first row should be taken as a master category, second row as a CAT1 (additional category), 3rd row into CAT2, 4th should be missed ... how to make it ? I am not familiar with PHP/MYSQL

I would assume the script would read from the blob, it is just data after all.

I did it - how ? I have wrote a little script. But convertion has been made without subcatyegories - easier and quicker solution.
