My suggestion to improve IndexU

I was open a ticket in helpdesk about my suggetion , and Mr. zubby ask me to post this suggestion in community forums for discuss it with other members.

I hope this section is right area for this suggestion.

I'm very interested in your product IndexU , realy it is very nice!
But , I use your product in deom and in other web site , the biggest problem I see with IndexU User group is not supported until NOW !
It is very usefull function for any GREAT Secript , and help in many way, ex. if I want to give someone some function like add new section , edit user information and approve new web site without adjust his/her user as moderator for specific section , in other words like supervisor - his/her function less than admin- that first
- Second, Why I need to add my contact information in every time I add new web site? O.K some web site is not for me but who add it I am ! I hope to improve this to give who add new web site tow way , the first use his/her own contact information - from registry information without add it manually - or add new contact information if It possible.
-The third, I don't know why I need to approve new web site which added from user interface - that mean I need to enter control panel every time I want to add new web site?!

That all ! I hope my suggestion useful , and I hope issue new version with this function as soon as possible .

I'm suprise you ask this because with version 5.3 there is possibility to set multiple editors : You can assign editors to help some of the admin tasks like links approval, managing reviews, verifying broken link, etc.

If you add from "Admin" you don't need to enter it.....

You need to approve to avoid spamming of your Web Directory, and many of our customer use IndexU for "Niche" content, if you have a WebDirectory targeting "Auto" you don't want see webmaster adding "Cooking" website ?

If you really need, I will ask zubby to make an option to avoid "moderate" every new link added to your Web Directory

When adding new link, the webmaster can login first or no need login. The advantage of being logged in is that the link will be saved in user profile, 'My Account'. So he will be able to manage links in his account in 'My Listing' section.

The category can have 3 kind of submission permission:
- no need editor/admin approval
- require editor/admin approval
- not allowed to submit

So all you need to do is go to admin panel > category > edit > then change the permission setting.

It might be a nice easy improvement to have a change all setting for the approval, say you have 100 cats it would take awhile to change them one by one... if you could change all, and then alter the odd ones which you require differant approval on.

Just a thought.

Don't suprise I mean How I can adjust (any user) to be admin like me? or super moderator like you ? I think you know super moderator have more advance than moderator and less than admin , I hope what I means clear .

Nice , but this is not my question .
My question is why I don't have option to put my name and email "Automatic" or other option to put diffrent contact information?
I think this it is not neseccery to but contact information IF I add new web site from control panel , but what about other?

However , IndexU is still very nice for me , and my suggestion for improve my favorite secript in web directory "IndexU"
