Can I mix databases?

Can I use the database of an Indexu 3.1 in a indexu 3.0? or are they differetn?

I would like to use my databases of my links and categories of an indexu 3.1 in a 3.0.......

is this possible, are they similar?

No they are different, look in idx_link you will see that several field have been add
