    Default Upgrading from Lite to 3.1 and higher..

    Ok, I been searching the forums for question related about updating from lite version to a paid version...

    This is what some threads say:

    -yes you can upgrade...

    -Yes you can, but is really hard...

    -I think you can updgrad

    -I dont think you can do that

    -That is just not possible...

    So I would like to know for sure, since I want to start building my directory in the lite version but I'm afraid all my work will be worthless if I buy the paid version...

    Please let me know if it is possible to upgrade from lite to paid version or not... this is really important for me...

    never tried it myself but go to the INDEXU demo at http://www.nicecoder.com/idx_demo.php and check out the Import link in the Database Tables section. There you will see that you can import from the lite version.

    At any rate if should not be too difficult to do even if the import feature does not work. And I am sure dody will make it work.

    but you will be happier by starting with v3.1

    so you are basically saying to start with version 3.1 instead of the lite version right?

    I installed the lite version and played around with it enough to make a decision on whether I wanted to spend the money on the full version of INDEXU.

    If you ultimately intend to purchase INDEXU, then you would probably be better off to start with v3.1.

    Yeah, but what about all the info that was on the lite version... you just lost it? what I mean is, I already have my mind set, I want to buy Indexu but I want to start with the lite version, get all the information in... (categories and stuff like that) and then upgrade to the paid version..

    nope

    I want to start with the lite version, get all the information in... (categories and stuff like that) and then upgrade to the paid version..
    when you are ready, you can import from the lite to the full version
