    Default unicode support?

    Hello,

I noticed you have just released Chinese Language Pack.
With this pack, can all Chinese characters display correctly?
Does "search" function work well for unicode?

Is it possible to try it by the free version?
Currently, I cannot diaplay Chinese correctly in your demo and free verion.

I wanna make sure it works for me before I purchase it.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

I cannot download Chinese Package in:
    http://www.indexu.com/download.php

Is it only available for licensed users? I just need to have a try.

Yes, chinese pack is for full release 3.1. You need to purchase first.

The free version is available in english only. But you can easily translate into chinese or other language.

    Hello Dody,

I understand you cannot provide support other than English. Actually, English support is good enough for me.

What I concern more is wheather Indexu works for me.
I dont really need to translate the navigation menu of Indexu to Chinese, but I do wanna make sure that Chinese inputs of site description, title, review, category and subcategory title are displayed correctly, as well as search function.

I believe this can be done, like many many forum systems using "lang" languge packs, for example, phpbb (www.phpbb.com)....should not be too difficult.

As for Chinese Pack you provide for users to download, I just want to know what files should I modify? Just the files in lang directory? I can do the translation thing myself, no problem. But it will be harder for me if there are coding stuff need to be done besides just translation. Do you know what I mean?

    I tried to modify template/header.html.
After I changed charset from "iso-8859-" to "chinese", description of new links that input from user interface can be displayed, but the category names which input in ADMIN PANEL still cannot be displayed correctly.
Are there any other files should I modified for different language input?

If you can provide some advice on how to do the localization thing, I can try it by myself. Anyway, I dont dare to purchase something I dont know if it works, right? It cannot be returned
