1. Does IndexU allow different category use different link template? If yes, how to do?
I ask this question because the link under some categories on my web site have different link format.

2. How can IndexU manage ads(sponsored listing, featured link, standard ads and so on)? The web site is impossible without ads.

No indexu doesn't allow for you to use different links templates for categories. Although, I do recall seeing a hack somewhere.


Indexu uses bid features to place links higher than others. You simply enter higher value bids for links you want to appear first. In regards to ads, you can place ads within categories or within the link templates with images etc.

You CAN'T tell if a website is using bids just by visiting it. Bid features are in the admin control panel that allow you to rank links. The higher the bid number that you assign to a link, the higher the link will show up in your categories.

To see this in action, you could try it in the demo site, and try moving links up and down the directory by using the bid feature.
