    Default Hosting Question

I am thinking about buying IndexU script. I have many questions to ask. I will start with hosting questions:

    - I am planning to get a shared hosting package as a beginning. Will this be enough versus VPS or dedicated servers? (Note:I am also planning to buy the DMOZ extractor so there will be plenty of subcategories and listings to begin with. The directory will be about pets.)

    - I currently have a hosting account with 1&1 for my other sites. I would like to stick with them for the sake of managing all of my hosting accounts from one place. I looked at IndexU's server requirements and compared it with 1and1's but unfortunately 1and1.com's website does not really give any detailed technical info. Can anybody tell me if they can see a hosting package which is compatible with IndexU?

    - Can you recommend other hosting providers and plans?

    Thank you,

Obviously your just starting out so you'll be fine on Shared Hosting. No need to fork out the additional money a VPS or Dedicated will cost you until you start getting enough traffic to warrant it

First, I'll start off saying I own IndexU Hosting. It is not owned or affiliated with NiceCoder. I specialize in hosting IndexU, iDesk, and the rest of NiceCoder's scripts. We guarantee an excellent IndexU hosting experience with pricing that is very reasonable. Take a look at the site and if you have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them

Second... I know this will sound funny since I own IndexU Hosting, but RUN as far away from 1and1 as you can! I say that not only from personal experience but also because 1and1 does an extremely poor job of handling PHP scripting. If your site is mainly static HTML pages, 1and1 will do just fine. But for any kind of scripting, they are horrible. Even if you dont choose my hosting company, find someone else other than 1and1. You wont have a good IndexU experience with them.

I hope that answers your questions...

Thank you for the info. It is great to know that there is a hosting provider specialized in indexu hosting. I have some questions about your hosting service:
    - How easy is it to upgrade to 10 or 25 domain deals in the future if I purchase a single domain hosting plan?
    - I believe all of your plans in the homepage are shared plans. Do you also offer VPS or dedicated servers or do you plan to offer them in the future?

    Hi Bozo...

No problem for the information. Glad I could provide it

Upgrading is EXTREMELY easy and only requires me to push a button to make it happen

The plans on the home page are Shared Hosting plans. We do offer VPS and Dedicated Servers. We dont currently list them, only because we offer them on a 'on demand' type of service. Because hardware changes so frequently and we are constantly adding new server capabilities, its easier to quote that stuff on demand
