    Question Disable Membership???

Is it possible to disable the membership feature? So people that come to my site doesnt have to be a member to vote or add links?

The reason I ask is because I run a site with vBulletin on it. Since there isnt a STABLE intergration hack for INDEXU and vBulletin I would rather disable the membership so my members dont have to have two different usernames and passwords for one site.

    Thanks

You can use indexu v.2.0 that do not have membership feature. But we'd like to recommend using v.3.0.4 with patch 2. Membership feature is optional, people can still adding, browsing, and searching links without to be a member. Just remove all information about membership. Of course you will miss some important features such as member review, editors, favorit listing, and others.

Hmm... actually THERE's a vb and indexu hack. See this thread.

I also saw http://www.2hosta.com/ done a nice thing hacking the code.

Yes I have looked into the Hack over at vBulletin.org that you post a link to, there are people saying its not working and since Indexu stores all of the members name and passwords in plain text I feel its an unsmart move to intergrate the two just to open a security hole in vBulletin.

I have now bought INDEXU and doing just what you said, Removing any reference to a membership.
