Default Difference between Premium and Sponsored?

What is the difference between the two? In terms of where it is being displayed, etc.

    Thanks for your reply.

do a search for difference (or Premium or Sponsored). there are a number of posts that discuss this subject.

You could simply add a dummy site and check, but the differences are in how they are displayed.

The premium links have the title PREMIUM beside them and appear on top of the category links. The background colour of the title text a darker shade.

The sponsored links have the title SPONSORED beside them and appear on top of the premium links. The titles are also coloured differently than any of the other titles on the page in a brighter colour.

Of course these colours can be changed easily in the css file.

note that premium and sponsored links always show up on top, regardless of link bid (bid is a method to place a link at or near the the top of the list regardless of votes, hits, etc) which is a great way to promote your own sites over other sites in that category without using the premium or sponsored titles.

To add your own premium or sponsored link first search for a link in the admin area (it must already exist in the database). Then click on the Upgrade/Downgrade link (looks like a white page with a gear). You can then choose for a link to be basic, premium or sponsored and the length of the premium or sponsored ad.

It's an exact clone of hotscripts.com's PREMIUM and SPONSORED feature. By submit a link as premium and sponsored, the link can be added automatically after payment made, so they won't need for admin approval.

Heres an example as We had someone register a sponsored listing on our site earlier today:

Browse by categories: London Private Detective/Investigator

The sponsored link is quite obvious, as it says sponsored above it , while the two highlighted links below are Premium links.
