Benefits of v1.2 versus v5.4?

Been searching in the forums, but can't seem to find the version comparison..or in other words..the reasons/benefits for upgrading from v5.4 to 1.2. Can someone point me in the right direction with a URL? Can't find anything via the search method. Also, if a template has been modified in 5.4, am I to understand that it will entail quite a bit of effort to upgrade to 1.2 without making quite a few programming changes? And if so, is there an area on the site that enumerates what code changes are necessary?

I dont explain about benefit, i will explain some additional on indexu deluxe. They are :
1. plugin features,
2. cronjob management,
3. users management,
4. Support Rich Text Editor on custom fields,
5. Discount coupon,
6. support for set default fields (link field) that will be showed on detail. so this is not only for urls or links, but it could be used on other directories
7. fixed all bugs on v 5.4,
8. etc.

they are some additional that i can mentioned.

if you have made some modification on your indexu, you should install 1.2 fresh firsts then you could add or take modfication on it. but previously you should backup your data (as export)
