Default "additional category" - what if adding both sponsor / free ads in two categories?

    Problem with using "Additional Category":

There seems to be a problem with including 'additional category', because it doesn't seem to change the cost depending on the type of the two listings and prices in different categories.
    For example:
1- new client adds sponsor listing in category 2 ( price 2$ ), but also want a free listing in category 1 ( price free ) - so both cat1/2 listings will show as sponsored even though second listing should be free?

2- new client adds sponsor listing in category 3 ( price 6$ ), but also want a premium listing in category 1 ( price 3$ ) using the 'additional category' - are both listings going to show up as sponsor listings instead of sponsor + premium listings and not charge extra because cat3/1 are different prices?

3-new client adds sponsor listing in category 3 ( price 6$ ), but also want a sponsor listing in category 1 ( price 5$ ) using the 'additional category' - will there be an charge extra because cat3/1 are different prices?

In my 3 examples, it seems indexu would charge for 1 listing and wouldn't differentiate between 'additional category'.So is there a way for the add listing page to show 'additional category' but show optional listing type and related cost?
    ie)
    1- 2$/cat2 + free/cat1 = 2$ with sponsor + free listing types shown.
    2- sponsor / 6$ / cat3 + premium/3$/cat1 = cost 9$ /premium & sponsor listing shown.
    3- sponsor / 6$ / cat3 + sponsor/5$/cat1 = cost 11$ / 2 sponsor listings shown.

Problem with changing category choice when filling out 'add listing' form:
    - new client chooses a category to add listing and am filling out the listing form, what does the client do if he wants to change the category he's listing in?

umm... i have always just run direcotries as same price, being sponsored will make you sponsored on all categories. Its interesting questions because indexU is coded to work with different priced categories BUT doesnt charge for each category...

In theory your meant to choose main category and pay sponsor for that, additional categories become sponsored also. however, nothing to stop users from putting themselves in a cheap main category and then as additional categories getting themselves listed on those also and not pay.

If pricing is high in some and low in the others this can be a big problem.

    Is this the case dody?

If you try indexudirectory.com you'll notice that the price is updated (using ajax) with the price of additional categories too, with an addition that the total price is lower because it implement the discount if the webmaster select the additional category.

This feature will be available to indexu too.

inspireme - part of my part. Essentially, I don't want to give someone 3 listings for the price of one, but would rather allow them to choose the type of listings they want in the other 2 categories but do so during registration.

Dody - is this feature available now or will be in the future?

Yes it will be available, but not ready for now. The codes in indexudirectory is a quick and dirty modification which is not suit for public release. We need to rewrite the codes.

Hoping to see this addition soon...as it's very helpful in offering specific options and allowing different payments in different categories by same member.

It's now available in svn, we're going to release new version soon.
