    Default 5.4.0

    Hi dody,

    A few of questions:

    1. How soon is version 5.4.0 going to be released? What kind of new features?

    2. I'm seriously looking at indexu along with a couple of other scripts to run a large state-wide business listings, including those without web addresses, will this script work properly in this situation?

    3. My main concern is importing listings. I presently have CSV files with each line (record) containing Category Name, Sub-Cat Name, Business Name, Address, Zip, Phone, Fax, Web address, Longitude, Latitude, etc. I'm talking thousands and thousands of listings and categories for that matter. With indexu, what would be the best/easiest way to import these listings vs. how your database is structured?

    4. I don't want editors, just people to have the ability to control their own purchased links. Is this doable?

    Thank you very much!

all doable many items on my site dont have the url, i use mapping and radius searchign using lat-lon, IndexU works great for my needs, that said, i only have between 800-1500 links on my sites currently.

I just installed 5.4.0 in INDEXU 5.4.0 - Link Management

    I'm most concerned about #3.
If you know the structure well, you may have no problem at all. See my other website which import external data: iSellSoftwares - software reviews and free software downloads and www.heavyarms.net

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I have about 11,000 geographies (categories - all imported). In terms of physical address variables for links, these are simply set up as custom fields. You can import all of your category and link data through the admin interface of indexu.

Indexu is great for this kind of thing, in my experience.

here is a typical record (with headings):

Category Level 1 Category Level 1 Description Category Level 2 Category Level 2 Description Category Level 3 Category Level 3 Description Title Description Short Description bizAddr bizCity bizState bizZip bizPhone bizFax bizEmail bizURL locLat locLong
Ashtabula County General Contractors Building & Home Construction Joe Blow Contracting 9999 Carson Road Ashtabula OH 44004 (440)999-9999 41.8515 -80.7900

I have 3.8 million records similar to this. How easy/difficult is it to import into indexU?

    Thanks.

    Default 5.4

Hey, when is 5.4 official release and when do you update indexuthemes ?
I buied days ago and than there is no sense to start with 5.3 design if you change soon.

3,8 millions links is to much, be sure you keep category structure small from beginning.

We're in testing phase. If you have a valid license code, you may download nightly build version at www.nicecoder.com/svn/ (but it could be unstable)
