After speaking with Dody and suggesting that a live moderated technical chat with at least two of the IndexU programmers would really excite users, he has agreed to the process in general.
What I need to do now is to get a number of questions from potential participants.
Yes now is your chance to ask the hardest technical questions you have! Ask about the plugin system, templates, modding, hooks, payment systems, languages or whatever you would like.
Please note that the questions you ask should be beyond the scope of support. Questions that are simple and easy will simply be dropped as they are probably answered on the forum already, or could be answered easily.
Please make your questions as detailed as possible! Without detail there is a lot of time wasted.
After the submissions have been answered users will be able to ask questions on topics that have not been covered.
So why a moderated chat? Moderation keeps the chatter down to zero, and ensures that all users who are present will be able to see the responses and respond in kind if necessary.
Once the chat is finished it will be saved and published for reference.
This is the first chat that Nicecoder will have, so lets make it a good one! If it goes well then there may be more. I'd like to see one per month but we need to see how the first one goes and how many people participate.
Submit your questions by replying to this thread. This thread is moderated and your post will NOT show to anyone other than myself, Dody and John. I will then compile the questions to be answered and they will be answered in the chat.
Please note that no date has been set as of yet. I would like to receive submissions first, then to plan a date and amount of time for the chat.
