IndexU Version 6 includes a redesigned admin panel with many new features and functions.
Plugin system:
The plugin system allows users to add modifications to their IndexU without having to edit the actual code. This makes it easier for non-programmers to customize their site.
Web search now uses Yahoo, no more need for the Google SOAP seach api key which is no longer available
Payment history:
Users can now view the payment history of listings right from the control panel all in one convenient location.
Discount Coupon:
Users can offer their visitors discount coupons on any or all levels of listing types (basic, sponsored and premium) and may set an expiry date for coupons.
Category suggestions:
Category suggestions can now be approved/denied right in the control panel without the need to manually add them.

Search Engine Friendly URLs (SEO):
Improve SEO & Popularity, a SEO URL is a must in a web directory, IndexU™ already supports this by default. But with IndexU™ you can also customize this to best suit you. By example the URL can use different formats to suit your needs

This feature is very useful when you are dealing with huge database and high traffic load. Caching the pages can speed up the page load time and keep the server load level low since the calls will be for static pages.

This allows your visitors to add their favorite listing and share with others. Multiple Editor capability for content management allows you to authorize selected users to be editors.

Summary Report of your portal. When logged in as administrator you will get a summary of your portal such as, how many links or categories you have, how many links or reviews that need to be approved, and how many broken link reports do you have.
The ability to alter database table right from the script itself. You can define database fields yourself to meet your portal requirements. This feature will enable you to create various database driven websites, such as a web directory, an image gallery, a program/scripts directory, classified ads, or a products catalog.
Configuration Settings. You can specify how many links for each page, category separator, enable or disable spam-proof mailing list, folder image, and more.
Better mailing list management, you can create messages, keep old messages, and manage subscriber list.
