Default A great day for IndexU and Nicecoder

Some time ago the domain name indexu.com was dropped. It has since been in the hands of a domain name speculator who used it for domain parking.

Tdomain IndexU.com domain was recently dropped and today it went to auction. I have been monitoring the name for a while and once that I saw it drop I purchased backorders from a number of companies.

It was snapnames that picked the domain up and after a two day auction I am happy to announce that the domain IndexU.com is back in the hands of the owners of the IndexU script.

It was a good auction, and the name was acquired for a decent price. You shall soon be able to visit the nicecoder website by using the domain name of IndexU.com

Congrats to Nicecoder for this wonderful catch.

    Congrats Bruce! Nice catch.

I nearly lost a very important domain once because I wasn't paying attention to what I should have been.. LOL!! Something like that just puts a sick feeling in your gut.

    No worries now though.

Sorry guys, your posts got caught in moderation heck (not as bad as "the other place")

Thanks muchly, if my plans work out then IndexU.com should launch in about two weeks, but those plans depend on what John and Dody want to do with the domain. It is after all theirs now.

    We will forward to nicecoder.com
It was stolen because i register in cheap domain registrar at that time. Even $35 is cheap for a single .com name, compared with $70

If memory serves it was network solutions that charged $70 a year for domains and had that pricing up until a few years ago. They suck as a registrar, and are even worse now.

Want to play with them? Go and start to register a domain you would never think of buying, like asdfhkajdhfklah9809348rhjaksdfh.com

Now check a few minutes to an hour later at a DIFFERENT registrar and you'll see that in 90% of the cases it will show up as not available. It will drop after 4 days however. This is a minor loophole known as "domain tasting" and costs $0.25 to do. Even users can do this if you have the right registrar.

Netsol is doing what is called Front Running, which is to say that they're reserving a domain for a few days after someone has done a domain check. This forces a customer to go back to netsol within that 4 day period to register the domain, if they try anywhere else it will be listed as taken.

Anyways, IndexU was dropped a while back, you can find records if you want to search but it's not important. What is important is that the domain is back now and in 90 days it will be transferred from me to Dody and/or John (Icann rules suck).

Very interesting, what you had to say about "Domain Tasting"..
And congratulations on getting the name back to where it belongs.
