Installation problem

This is my first post in this forum, please execuse me if I posted to wrong platform.

I have purchased INDEXU v1.4 few years ago. Recently I wanted to upgrade to the new version 2.4. Unfortunately I am unable to get successful upgrade. I tried to do fresh install and the outcome is the same, same problem.

I contacted support, and the reply is:
The error message said that indexu can not connect to mysql server.
There must be something wrong with mysql username, password, host and db name.

However, I replied to support, that there is nothing wrong with username. password, host and db.. I contacted support again but never heard from them.

as the error is reported at line 0 as you may notice below, this may suggest wrong ioncube compilation (encoding)!

Any one can help / suggest, or come across such problem

I'm not sure what the problem caused by database error.
But i experience the same problem today with other cpanel hosting.

What I did is create another database using mysql wizard.
It's weird, I usually not use cpanel wizard. But it work well. Database is connected now.

The product was installed on PLESK platform (version 1.4) and as I wanted to upgrade to 2.4 , I followed the upgrade instructions and then ended-up with the problem as described.

as a result, I moved the site to cPanel platform and I did the same upgrade and received same problems. I carried out fresh install with no luck.

Why do you want me to upgrade my Lic key. I already have Lic key from 1.4 version purchase. and what is the use of updating the key if the product is not working. Even you are NOT sure the cause of problem, what a waste of time and effort
