Improved link validation for Indexu Deluxe 1.4

First, i have to thank for mpdaddy (Wayne) work with Improved link validation plugin.
I made this plugin from his plugin (It was for Indexu 1.1 ...) and i have added support for new indexu 1.4, i have added settings subpage, so now this plugin is more user friendly.

And what can do this plugin?
You can validate links at once (every link have option Accept, Reject, Reject silently). So just go thru links and check after each if you want it Accept, Reject, or Reject silently and then click on Submit and plugin is accepting, rejecting links at once.

Available settings for plugin:
How much links - how much links you will see on validation page
Reciprocal at top - if you check this, links with placed reciprocal link will be at the top (this function i have missed a lot)

Install:

1: Download the attached file
2: Upload the entire file and its contents to your plugin folder.
3: Log in to your Admin area and go to view all plugins.
4: Find "Improved Link Validation Plugin for IndexU 1.4" and click the install icon.
5: Now either click on validate links in the "Links" menu or from the "Improved Link Validation 1.4" menu the plugin created.
6: You can adjust setting on setting subpage - Improved Link Validation 1.4 > Settings

This is my first work with plugin so be nice in case some errors

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!! I was the one that begged Wayne ( and it didn't take any arm twisting! He is so awesome that way!! ) to create this.

If you have a busy General Directory, having the option to ONLY reject, or ONLY reject_silent, or ONLY accept takes FOREVER!!

I'm getting ready to test it in a few minutes. I'll post back if I find any issues! But thank you again for doing this!!!

Thank you for taking this over for me. I am glad that users are getting some use out of the plugin. Wish I could do more, but I have other priorities right now. I do check back occasionally though.

I think you made nice work with this plugin...
I have made only little changes for Indexu 1.4.x layout + settings option... So it only takes while for me. You spent on this a lot more time, so thank you a lot mpdaddy.

I hope that our work will save a lot of time of users ;-)

I get this error in change settings of plugin:

Try to set permissions through your ftp client for file:
improved_link_validation/settings/count.php

I think that plugin can't write to that file - so change of permissions can help.

Look here - FTP and Understanding File Permissions
- instructions how to change file permissions in filezilla - you have to allow read and write.

If this wont help you - just send me name of your ftp client and i will send you exact instructions for it.

I may have discovered an issue. I am using with V1.3 and love it except the spam links link is broken. I have to deactivate, process the spam and then activate again.

When active the spam links link returns the normal validate list.

I wouldn't be that cynical. Jelenik hasn't even been on the forum since the 14th. Your post was made on the 19th. We have no idea why Jelenik hasn't responded. Maybe real life has kept him from being able to post and reply.

I dont know anyone on here that forces you to 'grease my palm' before they'll help you out. Hell Jelenik fixed this plugin and reposted it for free to share with everyone.

Yup, I was off base taking my frustrations out on someone who gives their time/expertise to build plugins.

Pull your head in as it's a great step forward and offered for free. I do however have an issue with the twitter plugin not working with it. I have dropped it and the twitter plugin works agian.
Hope this is only a small issue for the programmers who do do a great job.

Agreed!! It would be excellent if the Twitter plugin could co-exist with the IVL plugin. If it cant then IVL is more important that then Twitter plugin.

The ideal situation is to get both working together.

I was really pleased to see this plugin works with V2.0 but it is kinda ugly. Would be nice if someone could make it look better with the new admin template.
