    Guys/Girls,

This is knowhere near complete, it just seems to have taken an age so far, but I thought you may want to take a look at it and perhaps send me some feedback (good and bad welcome).

Please note you will need the index.php at the end or you will end up at the holding page...

URL Deleted While I rethink... thanks for the constructive comments

    Thanks

    Al

site takes forever to load probably because you've added all these external content such as news feed, and advertisment. You also have a few broken links at the bottom of the page.

Overall site looks extremely bright and very hard to read. You have light tables and cells on a white background which doesn't give you much contrast. The only text that I find easy to read is the black text.

Lastly, too much content on the main page. Not very organized and very difficult to read. I'm not really sure what the site is about except for city links, news feed, and contest? is there a theme to your site? what is your site about? somethings to think about.

    Hart,

Thanks for the comments. Not sure were I should start in answering them, but to say I rather liked the colour scheme, and the layout. I guess each to their own, but I perhaps will revisit.

You are right about the external links being slow (ERF, the news provider, has proved unreliable, but is free and legal!). My current hosting provider is not the fastest either.

I was aware that all the links we're not complete (hence the site not being finished). I just wanted some early feedback of where it was going and what people thought...

Of the only review so far, it seems "not going very good and not much"... :-)

Back to the drawing board perhaps....

    Thanks
    Al

Lots on a page may seem like a good idea, but page down load is more important - Its a balancing act

I personally like the yellow and you location tabs- not to sure about the blue
I would also agree with harthouse with regards to the organization

    Have fun

    Regards

I am in Australia and the site is still loading after 3 minutes so it might be a good idea to run an html validator so as to check your html code for broken tags etc.

Or it might just be the case that your hosting provider is overloading the server. Send me a pm if you ever need to change hosting provider and I will give you a free month of web hosting so that you can evaluate our web server's performance.

I didn't say I didn't like the colours. I just think its needs more contrast. Whatever colour you choose to use for your website is great.
