I refer to it that way also as it is easy to do. But just to be technically correct 
, it is the index.php and browse.php pages that are affected by the mod.

yep, a painless way to generate a continuous flow of income if your site has lots of active linkowners.
Just a note on the URLs used at aladdin's site. They use my ULTIMATE URLs mod with the goal of improving the probability of a page being indexed by google, etc. But there are other aspects of a site which also impact indexing and SERPs.
The MOD has a feature to prevent either duplicate category or link URLs. And the URLs are static; they do not change once they have been created.
