Default Expertcook.com - Indexu isn't always for links

I decided that one of my sites sucked so badly I need to change it. It is a recipe site but the backend was nearly nonexistant. An admin panel that left you wanting everything and a clumsy interface.

The site has been up for a number of years and had one facelift in that time. I decided to install indexu (5.4) in a test directory and check things out.

Knowing what can be done with indexu I had to change a lot of text (and I might have missed some) as words such as Links were replaced with Recipes. It was annoying going through every directory (cp, mail, templates etc) and changing all those files, but the end result is that it works.

A number of buttons and other links had to go away as there would be no visiting sites, all the info would be local on the website.

I haven't updated any of the graphics as of yet, but the site is up and running after about 6 hours of work converting the old database to the indexu format, changing text and updating the files.

You can view the site at Expertcook.com - Your source for online recipe sharing

I would like to hear your opinions on both the site and the use of indexu for more than just link sites.

great, content rich site. how did you manage to pick up such an excellent domain name, by the way?

I've had the domain since 2004, I used to run a really crappy script on it that was very inflexible and decided that indexu could do what I wanted but do it better.

I've actually tried to sell it and no one was interested. For now I'm keeping it however. I simply searched for names and found this one, and it works.
