your links are WRONG!
your links are WRONG!
your links are WRONG!
your links are WRONG!
folks don't see the correction they need to make but instead they see the WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG that you wrote.
Folks spend a lot of time working on their site and some struggle with the PHP or the HTML or both. They get it to a point they are a little proud of it and want others to see their good work. Then you come along and say WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. At that point, no matter how good your intentions are, they will become defensive.
While in this situation there is an obvious difference, other situations may not be so obvious. You may or may not be right. but if you are ALWAYS critical and say WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG then folks will become defensive and refuse to accept your help.
I understand that English is not your native language. Sometimes it is very good and sometimes it is difficult to understand. Sometimes folks think that all you do is CRITICIZE, CRITICIZE, CRITICIZE, CRITICIZE. ( See, I just did to you what you do to other folks sometimes ). Ask youself, "why is it that I don't seem to get along with folks here at the INDEXU site. I am really just a nice guy and I really want to help folks with their site. If they would just listen to me."
As a suggestion, sometimes you just have to let folks make their own errors. Or when you see what you think are errors or something is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, don't say they are WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Don't be critical ALL the time. ( Once again, I am telling you how critrical you always are and you problably don't like it ). What comes across is the critcal nature, not the desire to see someone with a "better" site.
I suggest you share your own experiences when you see an "error" rather say it is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Here is an example:
"Hey, landuyt, I was at your site and it really looks nice but I noticed one page had a single link presented two different ways. I have noticed that google sometimes will not index either site when that happens. Just thought you might like to take a look at: http://www.linkscoder.com/link_coder/" I would be interested in getting your point of view on this."
